Oregon Wedding Venue : Mary and Max's Winter Wedding
Oregon Wedding Venue : Max and Mary's Winter Wedding.
Mary and Max choose the gorgeous Oregon Wedding Venue of Brasada Ranch east of Bend in the barn for their beautiful wedding and I feel so fortunate to have been a part of this great celebration.
For those who know Mary and Max, they are two of the most kind, sweet, supportive people you'll ever meet. True gems. So to say they were easy to work with (even in 9 degree weather, heavy snow and feeling -10 with the wind chill) is an understatement. I photographed Mary when she was a young child, then her senior portraits, then at her brother's wedding (see his wedding here), so it was an honor to be chosen to take her winter wedding pictures.
When Mary hired me for their January winter wedding, one of the first things I hoped for was snow. Well, gee, I guess God really heard our prayers. The staff at Brasada Ranch said they'd never seen it snow this hard over the course of a weekend. We got a foot alone during the day of the wedding. It would be a lot of fun to be a Bend Oregon wedding photographer to have more opportunities for winter wedding snow photos as I had a blast taking portraits in elements I'm not used to in Eugene.
While I was glad we had snow, it does make it difficult when it's snowing so hard because of the snowflakes between my lens and the subjects.
Nonetheless, I loved the final results of these Oregon wedding snow pictures and hope you do too.
I suggested that Max and Mary bring a soccer ball. It was like ice skating!
Kudos: To their family and bridal party who brought everything together and made the entire day a blast.
Also to their wedding coordinator, Mallory of Mint Event Coordination, she did a great job along with Brasada Ranch's coordinator, Amanda. Great wedding coordinators truly help an event move along in an organized manner, without feeling rushed either...so important.
The gown was from David's bridal.
The tuxedos were from Men's Wearhouse.
The bridal bouquets were from Donners' Flowers.
Pekelo Day (her step grandfather from Hawai'i ) kindly provided all the leis.
The cake was made by Foxtail Bake Shop.
The party went on into the wee hours of the evening. Great food (provided by Brasada Ranch), drinks, facility, and more importantly, great friends. What more can anyone want from a wedding?

Below is a 4 minute trailer video incorporating some of my favorite wedding photographer images. Hope you get a feel for Mary and Max's day from watching it. <3
