Oregon Engagement Portraits

Justin and Caroline are getting married this July and I'm excited about being able to photograph the most important day of their lives.  mccants engagement portraits in Eugene Oregon by Master photographer Bruce Berg (7)Most of my wedding packages include an engagement session.

It's really a good idea to have an engagement session with your wedding photographer because that way your photographer will have insight into your relationship (Are you more traditional or quirky or crazy or romantic or formal?), what poses and angles do you look best in and how do you interact with each other most easily.  And it's good for you because you get a sense of how your photographer works (pacing wise).  For me, I like to flow-not go too fast, and being a type A sort of person, certainly, not too slow.  Also they get a sense of what I like to ask of them to make it comfortable and of course, my horrible sense of humor.

So all in all it's a really good sorta "trial run". mccants engagement portraits in Eugene Oregon by Master photographer Bruce Berg (8)

While it had was sprinkling a bit (Hey, we are in Eugene Oregon right?), it was fun to capture both an urban look (who doesn't like train cars?) and a feel like we are up on the McKenzie River. Might as well maximize the water effects!
